DMCA Policy – Castle

Here at Castle, we deeply value the intellectual property rights of creators — that’s because great stories (yes, even those you love on our platform) begin with their dedication. We are fully compliant with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and India’s local intellectual property laws, to ensure we have a legal content on our streaming service.

How to Submit a Copyright Infringement Notice

If you are a copyright holder (or an agent for them) and believe that any content in Castle such as a film, a TV show or video is infringing on your rights, please send us a detailed infringement notice so we can take the appropriate action. To help us respond quickly and with as much information as possible, please include the following details:
Your Name, Address, Phone and Official Email Address (we may need to contact you directly);
Clear details of the protected content (film/series title, season/episode numbers, release date);
The specific page on Castle where the infringing material can be found (e.g., direct link, app section, reference code);
A good faith statement that you believe the material was used in a way that’s not authorized by the copyright holder, its agent or the law;
A statement under penalty of perjury that your details are accurate and that you are the copyright holder or the owner’s authorized agent;
Your physical or electronic signature.

Our Response to Valid Takedown Notices

When we receive a valid complete takedown notice, our team reviews it immediately. If we determine this is the case, we remove the infringing content within 48 hours, as well as notify the user who posted it.
We monitor repeat violations as well—users who break copyright rules several times may have their accounts closed or blocked by us, in line with our site guidelines.

How to Submit a DMCA Counter-Notice

Castle users who received an erroneous infringement notice, or that have the right to use the content (e.g., by license or under fair use), can submit a counter-notice. Please include:
Your complete contact details;
An explanation of the removed content and its location on Castle;
A statement (sworn under penalty of perjury) that removal was a mistake;
Your signature.
We may share this counter-notice with the original claimant; if they don’t tell us that they have filed legal action in 10 business days, we may put the content back up (again, where appropriate).

Additional Notes

Every notice and counter-notice comes to our app’s support channel -- we will keep them confidential, and address them as efficiently as possible.
Castle will not tolerate the infringement of copyright; we want to support a platform where stories are exchanged legally, and both creators and players feel respected.
